When you choose to work with St. Margaret’s Family of Care, you’ll be working with a pioneer in senior living in the state of Louisiana. We are one of just a few long-term care facilities in the area that offer the “household model.”
We have created a unique environment that is full of the comforts and warmth of a true home. It is difficult to thrive in a cold, sterile, hospital-like environment and we have flipped the script to find the best way to put the “home” back in nursing home.

What’s in a Name? We Strive to Uphold St. Margaret’s Legacy
Saint Margaret of Scotland served the vulnerable, helped to create a community of peace and compassion, and pioneered religious and social reform in her time. Bearing her name, St. Margaret’s has emulated the feats of its patroness in the New Orleans community since 1931.

Some of our past efforts to show our appreciation have included on-site massages, catered meals, and visits from local food trucks. We are always looking for ways to show our staff just how much they mean to us and how much we appreciate the work they do.
